Welcome to QR Code & PDF Scanner Pro. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and SHREYA APPS ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to, download, installation, and use of the QR Code & PDF Scanner Pro mobile software application, in-app premium subscription features, and related web utilities hosted at qrcode-pdf-scanner.com.
1. Acceptance of Terms & Mandatory Age Requirement
By installing, accessing, downloading, or using any part of the application or website, you certify that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use and uninstall the application.
Age Restriction (18+): You must be at least 18 years of age to use this application and enter into purchase transactions. By initiating a download or subscribing to an in-app plan, you warrant and represent that you are at least 18 years old and possess the full legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
2. In-App Subscriptions, Billing & Google Play Store Terms
QR Code & PDF Scanner Pro offers an ad-supported free version alongside optional auto-renewing premium subscription plans ("Scanner Pro Premium" / VIP) and one-time lifetime access purchases. Premium subscriptions remove all third-party advertisements and unlock unrestricted batch CSV barcode exports, high-compression PDF processing, and multi-language OCR text extraction.
Billing & Payment Processing
- Google Play In-App Billing: All purchases, recurring subscription fees, and payment authentications are processed exclusively by Google LLC through your registered Google Play account. You agree to adhere to all applicable Google Play Terms of Service.
- Pricing Transparency: Subscription rates are displayed clearly in the application prior to purchase confirmation. Prices are inclusive of applicable regional value-added taxes (VAT) or sales taxes where mandated by law.
- Payment Schedule: Payment will be charged to your Google Play account immediately upon confirmation of purchase.
Automatic Renewal & Cancellation Protocol
- Auto-Renewal Policy: Your subscription will renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (e.g., weekly, monthly, or annually) unless you cancel auto-renew at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current billing period.
- Account Debit: Your Google Play account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the conclusion of the active subscription period at the specified plan rate.
- Free Trials: If a promotional free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. To avoid being charged, you must cancel your subscription in Google Play settings at least 24 hours before the free trial period concludes.
⚠️ Critical Google Play Subscription Policy Notice
Uninstalling or deleting the application does NOT cancel or pause your subscription. You must manage or cancel your subscription directly through the Google Play Store on your device or browser.
Step-by-Step Instructions to Cancel via Google Play
- On your Android phone or tablet, launch the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your Profile Icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Payments & subscriptions > tap Subscriptions.
- Locate and tap QR Code & PDF Scanner Pro.
- Tap Cancel subscription at the bottom and follow the confirmation prompts.
- You can also cancel online at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
When you cancel a subscription, you will maintain access to all premium features until your current prepaid billing cycle concludes. Cancellation takes effect for the subsequent billing period.
Refunds & Statutory Withdrawal Rights
All financial payments and refund requests are governed by Google Play's standard refund policies. Users who purchase subscriptions through Google Play can typically request a refund within 48 hours of purchase directly through Google Play purchase history. 3. Permitted Utility Use & Prohibited Conduct
SHREYA APPS grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to download, install, and utilize the software for lawful personal and commercial utility workflows (such as scanning retail barcodes, digitizing paper receipts into PDF, and generating branded QR codes). You agree that you will not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code or underlying neural optical weights from the software binary.
- Use the QR or Barcode generators to create codes embedding malware payloads, phishing links, counterfeit barcode data, or fraudulent financial requests.
- Circumvent or tamper with software licensing mechanisms, subscription entitlement checks, or digital rights controls.
- Distribute, sublicense, rent, or lease the application to unauthorized third parties.
4. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership
Your Content: You retain complete, unrestricted ownership and all copyright rights over any physical documents you scan, PDF files you assemble, or data payloads you encode into QR codes or barcodes. Because optical processing executes locally on your device, SHREYA APPS claims zero ownership or licensing rights over your private files.
Our Intellectual Property: All software code, UI designs, graphics, branding assets, sound effects, algorithms, and documentation associated with QR Code & PDF Scanner Pro are the exclusive property of SHREYA APPS and are protected by international intellectual property treaties.
5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The application, online tools, and services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While our optical decoding algorithms achieve industry-leading recognition accuracy, we do not warrant that all physically damaged, smudged, or low-resolution barcodes will decode without error under all lighting conditions.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SHREYA APPS, its directors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages (including loss of business profits, data corruption, or commercial inventory discrepancies) resulting from the use or inability to use the software.
6. Modifications to Terms & Subscriptions
We reserve the right to revise these Terms periodically. Material changes will be indicated with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of this page. If a modification affects active subscription pricing or terms, users will receive notification and opportunity to consent or cancel in compliance with Google Play Store policies.
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable governing laws. Any legal action or dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in competent courts with appropriate jurisdiction.
