This Privacy Policy explains how SHREYA APPS ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the QR Code & PDF Scanner Pro mobile application (the "App"), available on Google Play. This policy is written to comply with the Google Play Developer Program Policies, including the User Data policy, Families policy, and Ads policy.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Age Restriction — Users Must Be 18 or Older
This App is intended for use only by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. By using this App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a user under 18, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe a user under 18 has provided us with personal data, please contact us using the details in Section 11.
This App is not designed or directed at children and is not listed in the Google Play Families program.
2. Information We Collect

The App does not access or collect your device's GPS or network-based location data. References to "location" elsewhere in this policy or in the App's language/region settings relate solely to app localization (interface language and regional formatting), not geographic location tracking.
2.2 Information You Provide Voluntarily
- Content you choose to encode into a generated QR code (e.g., text, URLs, Wi-Fi credentials, contact/vCard details)
- Feedback, support requests, or correspondence you send us directly
2.3 Third-Party Product Lookup Data
When you scan a product barcode and request enriched results (e.g., pricing or product details), the barcode/product identifier is sent to third-party platforms — including Amazon, eBay, and Google — to retrieve matching product information. We do not control how these third parties process this data; please refer to their respective privacy policies.
3. Advertising
The App may display third-party advertisements served through advertising networks (e.g., Google AdMob). These networks may collect and use data such as:
- Advertising ID (a resettable, non-permanent device identifier)
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks) for frequency capping and performance measurement
- Coarse, IP-based region (used only by the ad network itself for regionally relevant ads — not collected or accessed by this App directly)
This data is used to deliver, measure, and personalize ads, and to prevent fraud and abuse. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (e.g., Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on Android) or by resetting your Advertising ID.
We comply with Google Play's Ads policy and do not knowingly serve personalized ads to users we know are under 18.
4. Data Storage & Security
- On-device storage: Scan history, generated QR codes, and scanned PDF documents are stored locally on your device by default and are not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to export, back up, or share them.
- Offline functionality: Core scanning and generation features work without an internet connection; no data is transmitted during offline use.
- Data transmission: Any data sent to third-party services (product lookups, ads, crash reports) is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
- Retention: Locally stored data remains on your device until you delete it (via in-app history deletion or by uninstalling the App). We do not retain copies of your scan history or generated content on our servers.
- Security measures: We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data in transit. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Cookies & Similar Technologies
The App itself does not use browser cookies, as it is a native mobile application. However:
- Third-party ad networks and analytics SDKs embedded in the App may use device identifiers, SDK-level local storage, or similar tracking technologies (functionally similar to cookies) to serve ads and measure performance.
- If you visit our website (including this privacy policy page or any support pages) via a browser, that website may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings.
6. International Users & App Localization
The App may be available in multiple languages and regions. Regardless of your location, this Privacy Policy applies to all users of the App. Where required by local law (such as the EU/EEA under GDPR, the UK under UK GDPR, or other applicable regional data protection laws), we provide additional rights as described in Section 8.
Data may be processed or stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in countries that may have different data protection laws. Where such transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

Since most App data (scan history, generated codes, PDFs) is stored locally on your device, you can delete this data at any time via the App's history/settings menu or by uninstalling the App. For data held by us directly (e.g., support correspondence), contact us using the details in Section 11.

10. Data Deletion
